One Newzealander, One Message, One Continent

What a difference one person can make, when that one person has a message he knows inside and out, believes in, and is willing to spend his days sharing with people who will listen. In this case, the one person I’m talking about is Peter Proctor and the message he is sharing is biodynamics. He and his partner Rachel Pomeroy left their homeland of New Zealand at the time of their lives when many people put their feet up on the ottoman and let life pass them by.

Proctor and Pomeroy moved to India to share the message of biodynamics.

One Man, One Cow, One Planet is a film that spreads the message of biodynamics by telling the story of Peter Proctor’s mission in India. The subtitle of the film’s official website is “biodynamics makes organics work.”

In a country where poverty, malnutrition and illiteracy go hand in hand, Proctor and Pomeroy are going from farmland to farmland describing how energized water, conserved biomass, compost loaves, cow horns, cow manure, and hand labour can convert dead and depleted chemically sprayed soil into living worm-rich, bacteria-rich soil that will grow great organic crops. This extraordinary and generous story is heart-warming.

It’s well worth watching.
